Makeup Look

Im not quite sure if this would be considered a smokey eye. idk but it wasnt hard to do at all. recently i went to ULTA (love this makeup store) and bought a couple things. i purchased this makeup kit with 82 eye shadows i believe. and some lip balms and brushes. along with 2 pencils and blushes. all for $14. what a deal!..check out ULTA its a great makeup store. anywho. from that collection i used Camal- a light brownish color, over my intire eyelid. then i used silk- a off white sparkly color in the corner of my eye and i then also applied Galaxy- which is a dark black sparkly color on my lower lid. and a little eye liner to line my lid, mascara, lipgloss and viola! an easy everyday look! Hair For Less!

So last weekend i went to this massive hair store in chicago with my mother and my aunt. im new to the whole hair extensions im use to wearing my NATURAL hair. not adding on anything. So my aunt is like the hair guru. but anyway..my hair was recently damaged by to much hair product so i had to cut it *cries*

i was thinking i want hair extensions..something not permanent because i do like my hair cut..just sometimes i want some length..so i thought clip ins!!! once we got there..i was look for the clip in hair and i asked the woman how much it costs...she told me $60-70. i was like yea...not in OUR budget (meaning my moms haha) but anywho..

my mom went on saying no blah blah..so i thought hey...i can make my OWN clip in hair..i bought yaki human hair, some wig clips, and needle and thread. all this came up to about $30-40. i saved alot! the only thing is u have to have the patience to sew the clips to the hair. but i had nothing to do anywho....

so im telling you guys. be creative..you dont have to spend so much money on beauty products just think of alternatives. im sure many other people have done this before. but i wanted to share it with you guys (:

heres some pics.

Review:

Neutrogena: One Step Gentle Cleanser

Makeup Remover

This is an one step gentle makeup remover, hence the name. It removes eye makeup and rinses out clogged pores. It also smells very nice.
The directions say to wet your face and hands with lukewarm water and pump cleanser into hands. rub hands until foamy and massage on to face. rinse with lukewarm water and dry.
I got this remover at walmart with my mom, lol. it was about 2 in the morning but who cares! it doesnt cost much i think its $6 or $7. & did i mention it smells reaaally good! (:
Pros: This cleanser smells really great. it gets your makeup off and its very soft and non-oily.
Cons: i would have to use a cotton facial pad to get the excess eye makeup off because it doesnt just come off like their directions say.
what i think: i love this facial cleanser. after using, it makes ur face feel clean and renewed lol. the smell is awesome. and i love the little pump! not costly i just love it. 2 thumbs up!

Introduction and a review!

hello everyone (: this is my new blog! i started off with a tumblr account. but i thought i'd make one here too! i guess ill start off by telling you about the blog and what is expected.

this blog will be about makeup fashion and random life. Some may say im unique, different. basically weird. but i take it as a compliment. i love art and makeup. it is my life. i never really was allowed to actually wear makeup until recently..(i was living with my strict father) but i always had a secret love for it. i would sit on the internet just doing research on various makeup and looks. now that i live with my mother, who introduced me to makeup. i guess i really started pushing toward my dream.

Now, A Review!

and the product is.......

Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation.

I got this foundation at Walmart for about $8. the prices range from where you get it (:

I love the little bottle its in. It has a little pump..so you dont worry about pouring out too much or wasting blah blah. etc. lol

Also sanitary

It is very thick. not super liquidy and watered down.

Airbrush finish.

Goods:

the foundation matches very well, i got the natural beige- medium 2.5. Can apply easily with a brush or just simply ur finger tips. Nice price. Pretty bottle. Very Sanitary.

Bads:

It does not last long at all! me being a highschool student i need last long coverage..i cant keep going to the bathroom applying over and over. also i broke out ugh. horrible. i already have sensitive skin. i feel like its rubbing off on things..almost scared to put on coats n crap...ehh. i honestly dont think this would be a good summer foundation because it makes u sooo oily. and i already have oily skin. blehhh!!

What i think:

never again. never ever ever. i wasted my money on this!!! =\ mind you i have to buy all my makeup on my own. i have to deal. it makes you sooo oily and i already have oily-combination skin. i saw some dry patches come up also i was like woah. then it does not last long at all. after my first period/block class it looked like i had to spruce it up a bit. horrible. i DO NOT recommend this. now looking for a new foundation!!

hope i helped you guys out a bit. you may or may not like this foundation. but im telling u right now i did not. lol not telling you to NOT buy it. just expressing my opinion (:

much love to all.

Pixie Marie.
